Goodbye Tailess

No matter how many adoptions we do you always find yourself getting very attached to the animals we rescue. Unfortunately we lost one of our first rescues. Tailess was a bob tail cat that just showed up at our door step one day in need of a good home. He was one of a kind and for some unknown reason he just up and left us. I hate to think that something tragic may have accrued. I have called the local shelter and searched our 40 acres but there is no trace of him. We have a number of coyotes where were at but he was a pretty tough little guy. It has been close to am month now that he has been gone and I assume he is gone for good. I like to think that he found himself a good home and it bringing a smile to his new owners face. If not, I know I will see him again on the other side.
Miss you Tailess:(

Andthe familygets BIGGER...

No, no kids on the way, not that I know of. Came home from work this evening to find that we have two new horses to add to the family. It has been in the works for a number of months now but this evening was the drop off. Notjing better then the sound of eight horses breaking in the pac in the mid-evening. But at this time I think we are maxed out for animals. Maybe a few cats but that will be it until further notice.

Hope all is well with you all,

Me

Got an invite...

I got an invite to do a protest at KFC the other day and it was great to step back into the shoes of an activist again. Not that I ever stepped out of them but sience opening the sanctuary there has just been a lack of time. When we ran S.C.A.N. www.scan2005.com, demos were just a weekly, monthly events. I believe we hosted over 45 demos in the short time we ran the group. I guess I really miss those days. Those were some of the best times and like I said, it was good to get back into it, even for a short while.
Demos in the future? Yea, I still hate the circus and fur industry and meat producers, animal labs, etc. more then anything. So, we'll still be on the front line for some time.
